Our Team
Nicola Jacobs
Nic has over 20 years of childcare experience and has an NVQ level 2 and 3 in childcare. Nic is also First Aid trained and trained in safeguarding.
Kevin Cook
Kevin joined the Preschool In December 2022 to train in early years. Kevin works four days a week and is a qualified Childcare practitioner with an NVQ level 3 in early years. Kevin also runs weekly sports sessions with the children in the setting. Kevin is Paediatric first aid trained and keyworks a small group of children.
Support Staff
Trish Briggs and Christine Jewell are the Preschools support staff who will work when required to cover hours in the setting. Trish is also the chair of the pre-school management committee.
Helen James - Manager
Helen is a qualified teacher with over 30 years experience in primary schools. She is also Reading Recovery and Level 5 Dyslexia support trained teacher, and has SEND experience, particularly with ASD children. She is the setting’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and SENCo and holds a Paediatric First Aid certificate.
Natasha Agnew – Deputy Manager
Natasha is a qualified Early Years Practitioner with over a decade of experience in childcare. She holds a Level 4 Certificate in Early Years Advanced Practice and a Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education.
She is trained in Paediatric First Aid and holds additional qualifications including a Level 2 Certificate in Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND), a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties, and Makaton Level 1. Natasha also has experience in safeguarding and key working, and is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where all children can thrive.
From September, Natasha will also take on the responsibilities of Health and Safety Officer.
